How can we help?
Tell us what happened and which phone you’re using, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Using KiwiSub
How do I cancel a subscription?
Open it in KiwiSub and scroll to How to cancel for the steps and a link to the right page. Once it’s cancelled, tap Mark as cancelled so KiwiSub starts counting your savings.
I’m not getting reminders
First check that notifications are allowed for KiwiSub in your phone’s Settings → Notifications. Then in KiwiSub, check Settings → Remind me, and the reminder on the subscription itself.
How do I track a free trial?
When you add or edit a subscription, turn on Free trial. KiwiSub will remind you before it starts charging.
How do I move something to Bills?
Turn on Settings → Track bills too. Then open the item and tap Move to bills under Manage, or long-press it on the Home screen.
Can I track rent, a loan or a credit card?
You can add them yourself as a custom bill, but KiwiSub is made for subscriptions and bills, not budgeting, so bank sync won’t look for them.
How do I change my currency?
Go to Settings → Currency. Subscriptions in other currencies are converted using daily exchange rates.
Bank connections
When can I connect my bank?
Soon. We’re finishing the open banking accreditation process. When it’s ready you’ll find it in Settings → Bank connections, and you’ll need two-step verification turned on first.
How will I disconnect my bank?
Tap Disconnect bank in Settings → Bank connections, or remove KiwiSub at my.akahu.nz. Disconnecting deletes the bank data KiwiSub saved.
Your account and data
How do I lock KiwiSub with Face ID?
Turn on Settings → Lock with Face ID. KiwiSub will ask for Face ID or your passcode each time it opens.
How do I export my data?
Settings → Export my data saves a spreadsheet of everything you’ve added.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. Your subscriptions, bills, settings and any bank connection are deleted straight away.
